The iShares Silver Trust said its holdings fell to the lowest level since late May.

The world's largest silver-backed exchange-traded fund, the iShares Silver Trust SLV, said its bullion holdings nudged down 3.53 tonnes, or 0.04%, from the previous day to 8,594.22 tonnes on Friday, the lowest level since late May.
The holdings of the New York-based trust, which issues securities backed by physical stocks of silver, hit a record 8,828.14 tonnes on July 31. [ID:nSP194465]
